Black Chip Poker is the newest poker room to have joined the winning poker network. Nevertheless, it is one of the best places to play any existing poker variant, including badugi. The site hosts numerous badugi tables and also poker tournaments for different wager levels. Its Online Super Series (OSS) is a popular event that you wouldn’t want to miss.
OSS II to Begin This January
The OSS II is due to be held from 13th January to 27th January this year. It will include 82 events and a total of one million dollars worth of assured prize pools. There are several benefits of taking part in it. The players will get immense value with predictable breaks in the large guaranteed tournaments. Additionally, the participants will stand out as the network’s premier tournament players. The site’s leader board will track the progress of all the players and reflect the status of each at the end of every match. Every player will surely get something out of this.
OSS Events to Watch Out For
Weekday Events – You should certainly not miss the events on the weekdays since there are some big ones happening. There will be a minimum of $45000 prize money each day with buy-ins from $10 to $100. Each weekday, the events are scheduled to start from 7:00 pm, 8:00 pm, 8:30 pm, 9:00 pm, and 10:00 pm, one after the other. The guaranteed payouts for each of these events, respectively, will be $10,000, $4000, $1,500 or $3000, $20,000, and $10,000.
The main event of the day will start at 21:00 EST. The buy-ins for these events will be respectively, $100 + $9, $40 + $4, $10 + $1 or $25 + $2.50 (according to the payout), and $100 + $9. The NLH events will include the reentry scheme and the PLO events will have one re-buy plus one add-on. Each Wednesday, there will be four different reentry events giving out $44000 solely on that particular day. All the games on the weekdays are included in counting points for the leader board. So if you really want to be the champion, you better take the weekdays seriously too, especially since the main events will be held at evenings.
Saturday Specials – Each Saturday, there will be a major event in which the buy-in amount will be $60+$3 and which can help you win 100 seats to the major GTD event of the following Sunday. Apart from this, there will be seven events conducted on every Saturday except the first, in which you can win greater amounts of prize money, with a total of $47000. Black Chip Poker is dedicating several satellites to the events each Saturday for the players’ convenience.
Sunday Special Events – Sundays, predictably, have the best deals, including the biggest tournaments as below:
- 13th January will have the $100k GTD with a buy in of $200+$15
- 20th January will have the $150k GTD with the same buy-in amount
- 27th January will have the bumper $200k GTD, again with the same buy-in amount
The leaderboard will record the scores of each player daily and will maintain their rankings in the tournament. Every match you play adds points to your score on the leaderboard. The more points you earn, the higher you move up on the leaderboard. Needless to say, the person with the maximum points in the end wins the OSS. The winner is not only declared as the champion of the network, but will also receive a sterling silver bracelet to celebrate his win. The scores will be posted daily so that the players can check their rankings. The rule for earning points in the leaderboard is that you should be winning tournaments according to the formula specified on the website. But you can’t win any points for the satellite tournaments.
